| I've somewhat lost interest in recounting my day to day thoughts online regarding my personal life for public viewing. I think it comes from looking at footprints and seeing that random people in Ukraine and Quebec are reading about some stranger's daily life. I mean, I have a bound journal to recount those kinds of thoughts in if I need it. and at one point, I had a pet fish named Larry I could tell those things too, but he moved to the Upper East Side...I mean, what?
BUT, that doesn't mean the blogging has to end! I realized this year that I don't write as much as I'd like to, and I used to enjoy it much more than I do now. So, to make writing interesting again, I plan to start a music blog! I get excited going to lots of shows and I like to talk about them. As generic as this sounds, I like talking about the music I like. So, be on the look out. I've started the url, but I haven't posted anything-->

| Finals aren't toooo bad this year, I guess. I really only have two tests - Stats tomorrow at 10 AM and MHist Tuesday at 6 PM. I had a final paper due last week and a piano recital. Looking back, it wasn't too bad. It's so hard for me to write papers these days though! Ever since high school ended, I haven't really had to write essays...so it takes me forever. And I mean forever. Thankfully, there are such pleasures as insomnia cookies to make the process happier.
Question of the week: How do I soak up as much New York as I can to last me 8 months without it?
I am looking forward to mountains and trees though!
Now Listening: Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong - Cheek to Cheek

I don't have all of your email addresses, but for those of you especially in the greater New York area, please come and check out NYU's Philippine Cultural Night this coming Saturday, April 21st at 6:30 PM! Tickets are $10 Non-NYU and you get yummy Filipino dinner! I was a music chair for PCN this year, and wrote for Scenes 1 and 10, along with doing a theme song for a central group in our play and the sound effects. I'll be performing live on bass guitar and piano as well! Let me know if you'd like to come, I'll reserve tickets for you. :D
| I've never been to the circus and the Ringling Brothers are coming to town soon. Anyone wanna go to the circus and see lions and tigers?!?!
My new headphones also make me feel like I'm in a different world. Sa-weeeeeet. Everything sounds so much better! I finally have some that sound good AND go over my ears!
It recently dawned on me...well, actually, people keep reminding me that we only have 5 or 6 weeks of school left. Crazy! I won't be back in the city for 8 months!?! YIKES! (like the pencils!) Going back to Seattle will be good though. Friends on both coasts makes me happy. And then it's a European semi-vacation for 4 months. But first, I have hella stuff to do before that departure.
300 definitely lived up to what I wanted...ever since that precious panel in Comic-con last summer. With that, I'll leave you with my favorite quote:
SPARTANS! Eat a hearty breakfast...because tonight, we dine in hell!
I guess I'll sleep now...
| Greetings! After hibernation from xanga, I've returned! for only a brief moment. :)
February 2nd. Bejeezees! This semester will fly by before I know it! I started a job/internship with a music publishing firm in Midtown! Today was my second day there, and for now, I am making sure that songs in their catalog are properly registered for mechanical and performance licenses - that the names are correct and that the percentages are correct as well. It's the tedious part of music publishing, but for me, it's great! This is just the kind of entry level stuff I wanted to be exposed to in this part of the industry. I took music publishing last semester and loved it, so I hope to learn a great deal at my internship...and there is NO DOUBT that this job beats last semester's Palladium card swiping. hahaha. The office is right near St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center, and I really have no reason to go anywhere past Union Square, so it's a good chance to see the other part of Manhattan. I feel like such a little businesswoman going up there! hahaha, but whatevs, I'm content.
I was in New Orleans in January with the Scholars Program at NYU. We did some community service, but mostly just toured New Orleans. I'd never been there, ever, so it was a great experience! -Beignets, Bourbon Street!, gumbo every single day I was there, catfish... It was also my first time in the South! I also found out that I'm allergic to crawfish, which means I'm officially allergic to crab. HUGE BUMMER. Broke out into hives and stuff. I'd been noticing allergy signs to crab (my Mom is allergic) such as...my mouth getting hella itchy, bad indigestion, hives...hahaha so this only confirmed my allergies to shellfish. I'm not so sure about lobster though because a few years ago when I ate lobster, nothing happened. AND, I'm still really really good with shrimp. I don't know what I would do if I became allergic to shrimp!
This semester's going aight. I'm not taking as many classes as I usually am because my Stats class takes up 6 credits, but it still equals out to 16 credits. My Stats teacher is 94 years old. I think he may be the oldest person I have ever talked to. I'm also taking History of Hip Hop Culture (tougher than I thought!), Music History II, Piano Lessons for an hr a week, and Keyboard Harmony and Improv II.
Otherwise....Anna and I have started a tradition of having dinner together and watching 24 on Monday nights. It's great. I'm so paranoid now because of that show. Like woah. haha.
I may be in a band this semester. Look out!
And, with spring semester comes Philippine Cultural Night, which I'll be helping to write the music to.
And lastly, but the thing I am looking forward to the most this semester, is Ryo's first visit to New York City in March! Yay!
Over and Out...
OH yeah, and I might buy some Nike Dunks! hahaha my feet are getting cold in Chuck Taylors. :)
